THERE'S AN IMPORTANT NEW SHOW IN REHEARSAL FOR AN EARLY JANUARY OPENING IN DC

WHY -- Ask why or think to yourself, WHY NOT? is the working Title

The Show is being produced by the Democratic Party with the assistance of voters from all parties, and the Lead will be played by Barack Obama, a former constitutional law professor who has been sitting in the US Senate.

A lot of voters, myself included, are hoping, praying, and believing that once the Play opens Senator Obama will actually rewrite the script relying on his intelligence, sincerity, humility, and his inspired sense of humanity and history combined with the power of the presidency.

When not Performing; we are part of the Audience

The audience is divided into groups by location, culture, sex, age, education, and other factors. Sometimes particular sections of the audience are similar as to these factors, and sometimes a particular section of the audience is composed of dissimilar spectators.

Audience reaction depends on the composition of the audience.

The Internet has joined together, by direct communication, people in very different sections of the audience allowing them to compare their thinking about the performance they are seeing. THIS CHANGES (and slowly homogenizes) THE PERFORMANCE AND THE AUDIENCE as it continues.

It also gradually changes the critical opinions of members of the audience –
And of the Performers.

A MEANINGFUL ANSWER MUST BE PROFOUND

Conceptually:

In a perfect world everything and everyone would somehow be perfect.

Since we are not perfect we are not qualified to judge one another.

Since judging from within is sometimes required to facilitate society,we choose those whose lives have been such that (in the interest of society) they are willing to put themselves up to be judged by Society before being ‘Named’ - to become judges.

This is the philosophical basis for the American Legal System.

Any examination of this American System, in action, demonstrates disappointingly the fallibility of this approach, BUT IT IS STILL THE BEST SYSTEM WE HAVE.

The only known path to the experiencing of perfection in this life (except perhaps complete solitude) is to seek one individual whom (for whatever reason) one is willing (and able) to refrain from judging.

Ideally this nonjudgmental attitude should be mutual.

(This might be why God suggested to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden that it might be better if they did not eat the fruit of the TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL.)
